A New Project, A New Website

in News, Shattered Pieces

I do this a lot; start a new blog, usually when I start a new big project. Really excited and motivated: “This is going to be the blog. I will keep it updated all the time…” I do; for the first few weeks, but that eventually fades. Abandoned until the next big project.

Well, this time I’m making a promise to myself that this will be the one blog/website, no matter what the project. This is a blog about me and my journey to becoming a filmmaker.

Oh, I better let you know what’s happening right now. I’ve written a screenplay for a short film, Shattered Pieces, and now I’m producing and directing it. I’ve got my small team together, who I’ll mention throughout the blog as the days and weeks go by. I’ll also talk about about the actual film, without giving away too much. Hopefully, you’ll get to see the work behind making a short film, learning while I learn, and hopefully it inspires you to get out and make  one yourself (or put you off  the idea completely)!

I’ll be keeping regular updates on Twitter, as it’s much easier and quicker from my iPhone. Follow me @AqeelAhmed.

To jump start this new blog, auditions are tomorrow. I’ll blog to let you know how they went, but I must get back to preparing some stuff for it, so I’m off for now!

Here’s a little logo teaser thing.
